Our plans to double our cruise line by adding two new luxury vessels to our fleet—Disney Dream in 2011 and Disney Fantasy in 2012—make it a great time to join our Crew. Shore Side Opportunities
Hotel
- Merchandise: Sell merchandise to Guests on ship and island in fixed and mobile locations. Practice up-selling/link selling techniques. Clean shops and stock rooms, stock shelves, maintain crew store.
- Guest Services: Handle all Guest questions and issues in an efficient, professional and friendly manner. Answer/route main switchboard calls. Handle cash and currency exchanges.
Housekeeping*
- Custodial Host/Hostess: Entry-level. Clean all Guest areas, back of house and crew areas with powerful chemicals and cleaners. Handle/distribute luggage and gifts. High Guest interaction.
- Stateroom Host/Hostess: Tipped position. Promotion from within. Provide exceptional service fully cleaning 10-17 cabins twice daily and providing turndown service. Handle and distribute incoming and outgoing luggage.
Galley*
- Galley Steward: Wash/rinse/sanitize dishes, pots, pans and other galley utensils. Operate various cleaning equipment. Handle chemicals and food waste.
- Cook: Provide quality food in high-volume galley/kitchen environment. Extensive food preparation. Culinary experience required.
Dining*
- Assistant Dining Room Server: Tipped position. Greet and serve 16-22 Guests breakfast/lunch/dinner in 3 themed rooms. Assist at fast food outlets and onboard/island buffets. High Guest interaction.
- QSA: Provide quick and friendly service in high-volume, fast food outlets.
- Hotel Stores: Receive, check, and store all deliveries to the ship. Prepare food and beverage general stores requisitions.
Beverage*
- Beverage Server: Tipped position. Provide efficient and friendly beverage/bar service in bars, lounges, café and island areas. Assist in maintaining cleanliness of areas. Practice up-selling and suggestive selling techniques. Record daily sales.
- Bartender/Assistant Bartender: Tipped position. Open/close Guest bars on ship/island/crew areas. Provide efficient and friendly service to all Guests. Prepare classic/tropical cocktails. Ring up sales. Maintain clean and orderly work area. Legal Age verification required.
* These positions must maintain United States Public Health Standards (USPH).
Entertainment/Adult and Youth Activities
- Cruise Staff: Set-up/clean-up/facilitate/participate in all adult/family activities – deck parties, trivia shows, bingo, sports challenges, tours, etc. Assistant emcee onboard/island events. Seek out Guest contact displaying enthusiasm and boundless amounts of energy. Sell Port Adventures (shore excursions) to Guests. High Guest contact. Some microphone use.
- Cruise Staff/DJ: Act as in-house DJ orchestrating an inviting and energetic atmosphere for onboard/island events and venues. Set-up/clean-up/facilitate variety of adult/family activities—deck parties, themed games, trivia shows etc. Seek out Guest contact displaying enthusiasm and boundless amounts of energy. Sell Port Adventures (shore excursions) to Guests. High Guest contact and microphone use.
- Entertainment Host/Hostess: Emcee onboard events and venues. Set-up/clean-up/facilitate variety of adult/family activities—deck parties, themed games, trivia shows, bingo, sports challenges, etc. Learn and perform scripted material and choreography. High interaction with Guests of all ages and microphone use. Sell Port Adventures (shore excursions) to Guests. Typically promoted from Cruise Staff role.
- Entertainment Technician: Audio, Lighting, Show Control, Automated Systems Rigging, Wardrobe, Props, Broadcast. Work with state-of-the-art gear to provide quality Disney themed Broadway productions, outdoor fireworks, stunning special effects.

- Guest Communicator: Create (layout/proofread/print/fold) all onboard media— Personal Navigator, dining tickets, Port Adventures literature, onboard specials flyers, etc. Partner with Engineering to maintain print shop equipment. Manage text programming of digital media plasma screens throughout Guest venues.
- Youth Activities Counselor: Interact with/supervise/provide safe environment for children ages 3-17. Set-up/Clean-up/Assist with facilitated activities. Extensively clean spaces/objects throughout day. Be able to spontaneously entertain high volumes of children in absence of planned activity.
- Recreation Host/Hostess (Lifeguard: Ship and Island):
- Ship: Monitor children/family pool/slide/game areas on Deck 9 and snorkel lagoon on Castaway Cay. Monitor integrity of adult areas. Perform hosting duties at lounges. Sell Port Adventures (shore excursions) to Guests.
- Island: Lifeguard at 7 stations 300 feet apart on Castaway Cay. Clean/rent equipment—bikes, snorkel masks, boats, floats. Assist with activities. Clean and oversee beach/boat lagoon.
