Crew Pay & Banking
Crew members receive their paycheck every other week based on a payroll calendar and will be paid in US dollars. The onboard Finance team distributes paychecks via each department.

All crew members are responsible for paying their own taxes. US Federal tax withholding is required for all US citizens, residents and US passport holders. If you have questions regarding taxes, please consult a tax expert within your country. Due to the complexity of tax requirements in each country, DCL is unable to provide tax assistance or advice.

Crew Spaces
Crew Mess HallIn addition to your cabin, a variety of “crew only” spaces are available for your use, relaxation and enjoyment when you are not working.  These include:

  • Crew laundry areas (use of washer and dryers are free of charge)
  • Internet café
  • Crew Gym featuring state-of-the-art exercise equipment; accessible 24 hours a day
  • Crew Store (items such as laundry detergent, toothpaste, bottled water, etc. can be purchased at a discounted cost)
  • Crew dining area
  • Crew bar
  • Recreation/relaxation room with games and books
  • Outdoor deck
  • Crew Pool (Disney Magic / Disney Wonder only)
  • Private beach area for those who have the opportunity to visit Castaway Cay

 

Crew Benefits & Privileges
Crew member benefits include:

  • Crew Members being issued their costumes/uniformsShipboard medical care, and if appropriate, shore side medical care while under contract
  • Payments for subsistence/room and board if shore side medical care is necessary while under contract
  • Ability to purchase GAP medical coverage through insurer for periods in-between contracts, if desired
  • Shore side room and board and set meal allowance during training for those living more than 120 miles from their port of embarkation (i.e. embarking the Disney Dream in Port Canaveral)
  • Shipboard room and board (accommodations and meals) based upon berthing privilege
  • Costumes/uniforms (except shoes unless otherwise indicated for select positions) at no additional expense, including laundering services for costumes/uniforms
  • Complimentary Disney theme park admission, discounts at select resort hotels, and discounts on Disney merchandise at select worldwide Disney locations
