JOB OVERVIEW: Supervise daily operation of Front Desk & Guest Services. Lead team of Guest Services Hosts/Hostesses; follow-up on daily assignments. Handle any guest service issues and follow through with guest service recovery. Create daily work schedules for Guest Services Hosts/Hostesses. Implement training and development for Guest Services and Concierge. Monitor the daily bank-out process for crew. Assist in all other areas of Guest Services and/or the Crew Services Office.

Merchandise Hostess – Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

JOB OVERVIEW: Magically transform guests into a princess, knight and/or pirate within the onboard Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique/Pirate’s League. Spend 45 minutes (on average) with each princess/knight, ages 3 to 12 years old; this period of time includes makeup, hair, nails, costume, etc.; on Pirate night, this offering is also extended to adult guest. Proactively sell ship/island merchandise in fixed and mobile retail locations; product focus could include but is not limited to DCL specialty merchandise, onboard art program, duty free products, jewelry, and princess, knight and/or pirate makeover experiences. Support daily promotions such as purchase with purchase and special events or themed activities. Assist with price adjustments, floor moves, and receiving merchandise stock. Maintain daily cleanliness of ship floor, display tables and windows, as well as stockrooms. Consistently ensure sales targets are met and/or exceeded.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Minimum two years recent experience in retail, sales or guest/customer service field. Recent experience with hair or makeup application or related experience. Ability to portray a character and follow a story line. Ability to lift 40 pounds. Be at least 21 years of age. Be able to speak, read and write fluent English. Willingness to live and work onboard one of our vessels for a certain length of time (based on position). Be able to work a seven-day, 70-84 hour week with limited time off. Be able to adhere to Disney Cruise Line appearance guidelines. Agree to share a cabin with other crew members. Enjoy working in a high-volume, fast-paced, guest-service oriented environment. Be flexible with your work schedule, job duties and work locations. Appreciate diversity among guests and crew. Cosmetology and/or theatrical make-up application experience a plus.

JOB OVERVIEW: Acts as the onboard HR Generalist and assists with the coordination of employee policies, performance management, learning and development opportunities, compensation and benefits, and general HR services. Serves as point of contact for crew employee relations. Partners with the Manager, HR to interpret policy consistently and fairly. Coaches leadership on how to handle disciplinary action. Implements approved company HR policy, procedures, and global initiatives using all available HR resources. Champions the performance management process. Supports the training and development of leadership through class facilitation, coaching and observation. Facilitates leadership feedback/introductory sessions as needed. Serves as point of contact for online training sessions for leaders in addition to tracking and crediting completed facilitated training sessions. Conducts needs assessments to determine key opportunities in learning and development, communication, organizational effectiveness, etc. Monitors quality of shipboard training and its documentation in company records through file audits. Provides ship input on the development of HR strategies. Champions Career Navigation Process and Succession Planning in partnership with Training Officer. Maintains exit interview process for leaders. Partners with Training Officer to maintain the onboard Crew resource library. Partners with Training Officer to gain feedback from new hires regarding first 30-days onboard, recruitment and training experience. Champions 10-year service celebration. Assists with on-boarding process and facilities onboard DCL Welcome Home presentation for returning Crew. Champions crew welfare and diversity functions onboard. The Assistant Human Resources Manager is considered an Officer onboard and reports to the Manager, HR (shipboard).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 years experience working within a HR operation; depth of experience in at least one HR functional area: Compliance, Learning and Development, Organizational Development, HR Services, and/or Workforce Planning and Administration (compensation and benefits). Minimum of 1 year in a leadership and/or Operations role. Working knowledge and proven work experience within employee relations, understanding ER concepts and practices required. Previous experience within the cruise industry, hospitality industry and/or Disney experience in an HR capacity required. Advanced education degree in HR or similar field preferred.

Pool Deck Service Supervisor

JOB OVERVIEW: Lead team of Pool Deck Service Hosts, and provide leadership for all direct reports. Oversee the cleanliness & sanitation of pool deck area and pool furniture including trash/garbage collection, towel stocking & distribution, and laundering/changing out of cushion covers for adult pools. Wipe down all deck chairs daily and deep clean once a week, or when needed. Set and clear deck chairs and sun beds, having it “show ready” in the mornings. Stack the deck chairs at the end of the day. Proactively engage with guests.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Professional work experience in a supervisory capacity. Strong organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment, handling multiple requests/projects simultaneously on the Pool Deck. Ability to take action and follow through. Previous cleaning experience of some level. Be able to work with and use various chemicals and cleaners. Experience working in a high guest-service focused company. Relates well to guests of all ages. Excellent verbal communication skills. Confidence to deal with difficult guests. Displays effective teamwork and exhibits sound judgment at all times. Physically fit, with endurance to lift 50 lbs and run up and down stairs multiple times during the day.

Island Maintenance Manager

Proven experience with diesel-powered electrical generation and waste-water treatment plant.

Manager, Youth Activities

JOB OVERVIEW: Oversee the implementation and operation of the youth product offerings and all onboard youth spaces catering to children between 12 weeks of age to 17 years of age, onboard and/or on Castaway Cay. Responsible for the overall guest and crew experience. Ensure safe operation of all events and programs. Maintain overall OJT and ensure initial and ongoing training plans are in place for crew. Accountable for overall Youth Activities budget. Oversee compliance of all youth areas to Untied States Public Health and Disney standards, ensuring crew are trained and policies and procedures are managed on a daily basis. Work with ship/shore counterparts to identify and help develop/implement new programs and refresh existing programs. Represent Youth Activities in all onboard discussions regarding policies and procedures. Serve as onboard Youth Activities spokesperson for media interviews. Partner with Cruise Director and onboard leaders to optimize guest flow. Communicate with Cruise Director and shore side Entertainment leadership regarding consistency of operation between ships, show quality, crew scheduling, team performance, etc. See that personnel files, record cards and/or performance reviews are appropriately maintained and conducted. Maintain onboard succession plan, identifying future growth potential within the Youth Activities team. See that labor scheduling is efficient and effective. Communicate with shore side HR team in regards to future staffing needs. Provide leadership, feedback, coaching and development, communication, and recognition for the entire Youth Activities team (ranging in size of 55-80 depending upon ship) and all direct reports; direct reports include two Youth Activities Managers. This position reports to the Cruise Director and has high guest interaction.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Minimum five years experience in a high volume child care operation in a recreational or leisure setting. Minimum four years of current or previous management experience in a related field. Proven experience leading and motivating a large team including management of other leaders. Proven experience managing complex policies and detailed operational procedures. College degree or related schooling associated with recreation, education, entertainment or related field of study strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience organizing and prioritizing team goals and a proven ability to manage a budget.

JOB OVERVIEW: Interact with and supervise all children participating in Youth Activities programs, ages 3-17 years, by providing a safe environment so children of all ages will enjoy themselves. Assist in the set-up for all facilitated activities and execute clean-up duties upon completion of program. Assist with the cleaning and sanitizing of spaces and objects, before, during, and after the facilities open. Provide registration/check-in/check-out services for guests in children’s spaces on the ship and Castaway Cay. Prepare food trays for children during meal or snack times.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Minimum two years recent experience working in a high volume, fast paced recreational/camp environment with children. Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills. Must be able to command the attention of large groups of children. Schooling in recreation, education, or related field of study is preferred.
