Crew Activities and Events
“Learning how to manage downtime is really important. Thankfully, there’s a lot of Crew activities and events to help us unwind.”
Although we do everything to ensure a memorable experience for our Guests, we like to make sure our Crew Members have a good time too. We offer our Crew many different events and activities onboard our ships and on our private island Castaway Cay.
These include:
- Monthly themed parties (Valentine’s Day, Halloween, New Year's Eve, Independence Days—Australia, Philippines, India, and others)
- Monthly semi-formal wine & cheese or martini nights
- Saturday night movies in the Buena Vista Theatre (Guest facility) of first-run premiere Disney films
- Crew Bars, open nightly (indoor and outdoor)
- Private BBQ, beach volleyball and soccer at our private island Castaway Cay (sport team competitions with other departments and cruise lines)
- World Cup soccer events
- Annual Crew Olympics, talent shows and Crew awards
- Bingo and game night (Nintendo Wii)
- Themed dinners and parties
- Disney special merchandise sales (quarterly)
- Late-night fitness classes including yoga, tae-bo and spinning
- Weekly Crew sports—3 on 3 basketball, 9-ball pool tournaments, ping pong and dodge ball
DVD rentals, English classes, Christian fellowship gatherings and VoluntEAR events are also made available.
