Working onboard our ships is challenging. We host approximately 2,700 Guests per cruise, creating a very demanding and fast-paced work environment for all. Our Crews are rewarded with an enormous amount of pride every time they meet and exceed the challenges onboard. At DCL, we are committed to helping our Crew reach these high standards by providing support and a Leadership team that cares, listens and responds to everyone’s needs in a variety of ways.
Shipboard Human Resources Department: The first in the cruise industry, our shipboard HR team reports directly to the Captain to ensure procedures and practices are being followed in a consistent and respectful manner, among all departments, with all Crew.
Internal Recognition: Awards of excellence for outstanding service are often given when our Crew Members display extraordinary accomplishments both in front and behind the scenes.
Personal Support: Project On Board is a set of internal commitments made between Disney Cruise Line and The Walt Disney Company International Labor Standards Committee. These commitments were developed in order to guarantee the quality of living and working environment onboard Disney Cruise Line ships that uphold standards and ethics.
Personal Consideration: We know our Crew has personal lives away from our ships. If a family emergency or unforeseen situation should arise while you are on contract and you need to get back home, your Leaders will work internally to make the arrangements needed both to maintain ship operations and get you home as quickly as possible.
Valued Input: Whether it’s about ship operations or conditions that affect our Guests or Crew, Disney Cruise Line values Crew Members’ input and suggestions for making everyone’s experience onboard more enjoyable.
Alert Line: Our 24-hour hotline is always available aboard our ships if a Crew Member wants to report a problem or any concerns they may have with their workplace environment. Calls can be made anonymously.
